CLEVEDON’S swimming pool reopened to the public on Saturday following weeks of it being closed.
The pool at Strode Leisure Centre had been closed since the end of January after the lights above it failed.
Under health and safety rules, if staff members cannot see the bottom of the pool then it cannot be used by the public.
A delay in getting the right parts for the 32 light fittings meant it was then closed for more than a month, resulting in regular pool users having to travel elsewhere to swim.
