Drivers are advised to take care after nails and screws were ditched on a North Somerset carriageway today (Tuesday).

Avon and Somerset Constabulary is investigating a number of incidents involving nails and screws on the road near Easton-in-Gordano.

The police tweeted: “Enquires are ongoing and the Portishead Beat Team is aware.

“Members of the public, please be careful when driving in these locations.”
