Police appeal reissued after 63-year-old's death

Police have renewed a witness appeal following a fatal crash last week.

Hugh Swain died while walking along the A370 in Congresbury on June 9.

A lorry was involved and Avon and Somerset Constabulary are investigating what happened.

A police spokesman said: “Mr Swain, from Yatton, died following a collision involving a lorry in Station Road, at about 10.05am.

“Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.

“Our investigation continues. If anyone saw this incident and has not yet spoken to the police, please call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5217129509.”

Mr Swain was 63 years old and lived in Mendip Gardens.
