The future of policing was discussed when an important guest attended a meeting of the Rotary Club of Clevedon Yeo.
Sue Mountstevens, Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner, gave a talk to about 25 club members at Walton Park hotel in Wellington Terrace about various subjects regarding her role as PCC.
Topics of discussion included her community out and about days, setting the policing part of the force budget and council tax, the force’s strategic alliance with Wiltshire and the future of policing across the area.
Ms Mountstevens said: “For me, a key part of my role is to travel to meet local people in their own communities, hear about what they have to say about policing in their area and tell them more about my role and my priorities as their police and crime commissioner.
“I’m a strong supporter of the rotary movement.”
