Pupils have been enjoying testing out a new play area at Wrington Primary School which was installed last week.

The area’s equipment has been funded by a National Lottery grant.

Year one pupils can be seen surrounding the new additions and were joined by their teacher Tracey Jones.

The class pictured is made up of 14 girls and 16 boys and they recently went on a trip to Bristol Zoo to learn about the polar regions.

Deputy head, Corinne Clarke, said: “It only took two days to put together and it was finished earlier than we expected.

The children have enjoyed Art’s Week recently and are celebrating World Book Day next month.

Corinne continued “The pupils have been so excited and they absolutely love spending time there already.”

Children’s author CS Clifford will lead writing workshops and read extracts from his books at the school on February 28.
