STAFF at Flax Bourton Primary School could soon be enjoying some new facilities if plans for an extension are approved.
The Station Road school has submitted an application to North Somerset Council to build a single-storey extension to the rear of the existing buildings to allow for a new staff room and group room to be created.
Currently, the staff have a base in a temporary Elliott building, which is 20 years old and in a very poor condition. It has been repeatedly repaired but now needs replacing.
If approved, the proposals would see it demolished before the new extension is built and the ground it sits on returned to lawn.
