Penny Brohn will open the doors to its National Centre in Pill for an open day at the end of the month where people can learn how to be healthier.

Healthy cooking and Nordic walking demonstrations will take place at the event, while there will also be a dance class, children’s activities, a raffle and refreshments to raise funds for the charity.

The open day will run from 11am-4pm on October 29, and people will be able to go on a tour of the historic grade-II listed building and its expansive and stunning grounds.

The event will be raising money for the charity, which supports cancer sufferers and their families.

It will cost £4 to enter.

Organiser Ian Riddell said: “There’s something for everyone, from energetic and energising activities to relaxing and stress-free fun.

“It’s a great opportunity to see how we support people living with cancer and pick up practical tips for a healthier lifestyle.”
