What started out as a small group of friends from Pill having a drink together to remember loved ones, turned into a party with more than 200 people attending which raised more than £1,000 for charities.
The Charity Night to Remember at Pill Memorial Club raised funds for the Neo Intensive Care Unit at Southmead Hospital and research into sudden adult death syndrome.
The night, featured a disco, karaoke, a performance from Portishead-based band The Sirens, as well as a raffle with numerous prizes donated from businesses including meals and a family photo shoot.
Organiser Tim Guard said: “The night was to remember Harrison and Lilly Dunn, Michael Hurst, and Stuart Guard.
“The community have been very supportive. The response has been incredible.
