BEAUTIFUL gardens enabled more than 1,000 to be raised for a community group in Clevedon.
An open gardens event organised by Clevedon Pride was held on Saturday and Sunday, with scores of people visiting the 13 sites taking part.
From a 21-acre racing stables to an enclosed cottage garden, the colourful spaces created by homeowners in the town were greatly appreciated by visitors.
The money raised from the event will go toward the work of Clevedon Pride, including funding town centre Christmas lights.
Clevedon Pride member Julie Bisacre said: “It was a total success.
“One of the gardens had about 150 people visit in just one day.
“One couple said they had spent the whole two days going round every garden and had cream teas wherever they could.
“Thank you to the garden owners who all said they were delighted to do it for Clevedon.”
