Scenes for the final series of ITV’s Broadchurch were filmed in Portishead late last night (Sunday).
David Tennant, starring as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy, and other members of the Broadchurch crew were photographed by Times reader Mark Gilbert in Newhaven Road.
Most scenes are filmed in Clevedon and Dorset, but crews have been in Portishead a number of times recently to film parts of the hit show.
The storyline is being kept a closely guarded secret, although producers have said DI Hardy Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) will be investigating a serious sexual assault.
The first two series of Broadchurch have attracted millions of viewers and the final series is eagerly-awaited by fans.
Familiar characters including the Lattimer family and Vicar Paul Coates (Arthur Darvill) are returning for the final instalment. However, there will be a number of other characters appearing with Lenny Henry and Sarah Parish among the actors making their Broadchurch bow.
