One of Scotland’s most revered poets was celebrated in style at a party in Congresbury – which also raised money for charity.

The DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House hotel marked Burns Night, which honours the life and works of Robbie Burns, with a lavish party on January 21.

A four-course meal was the highlight of the evening, alongside traditional rousing Scottish performances from the 10-piece Shirley Pipe Band.

The event’s proceeds went towards the Guide Dog Association, and a guide dog in training – 12-week-old golden retriever Tudor – was extremely popular with guests all night long.
