GIANT leeks, delicious cakes and well-groomed pooches were just some of the many items up for judging at Nailsea Flower Show this weekend.

More than 900 people flocked to the popular event to view the 1,000 exhibits vying for a prize at Nailsea Horticultural Society’s annual show.

Colourful blooms, vegetables, cakes and crafts were entered into the many classes and judges commented on the outstanding quality of all the exhibits.

Dogs also enjoyed some time in the limelight at the dog show where pet owners paraded their beloved pooches in the hope of winning a prize.

Guests were also entertained by performances from the Adele Stitch School of Dance, Simply Street, Jaadu Egyptian belly dance company, the Two Left Feet Dance Company and Filton Concert Brass Band.
