PARENTS and children have been getting stuck into a host of activities as they enjoy the Easter break.

Children’s centres in Pill, Clevedon and Portishead have all put on special stay and play sessions to entertain young ones with activities including painting and crafts.

Youngsters have also enjoyed Easter-themed creative activities including dressing up as an Easter bunny at Clevedon’s St Nicholas Chantry Out of School Club, which is based at the Highdale Avenue primary school.

In Portishead, an Easter Extravaganza was put on at the St Barnabas Centre in West Hill on Saturday when children could make cards and baskets but also take part in activities such as Roman sword making, clay tomb modelling and breaking out of a bun tomb.

In Nailsea, families enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at Trendlewood Park, which was organised by the Friends of Trendlewood Park and North Somerset Council.
