NUMEROUS dancers walked the boards at Backwell School’s theatre during a week-long contest.
The Bristol Dance Eisteddford took place at the school from March 31 through to Friday, with youngsters, ranging in age from those under four to those aged 15 and above, taking part.
The competition featured classes for many different genres including ballet, modern, character, Greek, tap, national and classical.
Dancers put on performances as individuals, duos and groups, all hoping to win one of the many trophies on offer. Among those taking part were many members of the Adele Stitch School of Dance, which holds classes in Nailsea and Backwell.
