MORE than 850 fundraisers turned out to take part in the Childen’s Hospice South West Bluebell Walk in Wraxall.
Held on Sunday, the event saw families and dogs walk for either one, three or six miles in and around the charity’s base at Charlton Farm, which is now entering its seventh year of supporting children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Having completed their ramble, walkers could then enjoy a country fete featuring market stalls, sideshows and entertainment from Congresbury Brass Band.
Head of fundraising Karen Edgington said: “As a charity we receive very little government funding so events like our Bluebell Walk enable us to keep making the most of short and precious lives.”
