Cats, dogs and rabbits were among the unusual sights at a Portishead church on October 3.

The annual event, which has been held since 2012 in memory of dog trainer Mandy Blake, was led by Reverend Christine Judson at St Peter’s Church.

Graham Dyers from the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity spoke about the role trained dogs play in the lives of their deaf owners.

A collection was taken for the work of the charity and the money was presented to him by Mary Blake, Mandy’s mother.
