VOLUNTEERS are being sought by a North Somerset cancer charity to help during a huge fund-raising event.
Penny Brohn Cancer Care in Pill is the official charity partner of the Bristol Harbour Festival and is looking for an army of 200 volunteers to help collect as many donations as possible during the event on July 30-31.
The volunteers will be asked to take a short two-hour shift each, collecting donations as part of a 20-man team at anyone time.
Last year, Penny Brohn Cancer Care, which provides complementary therapy to people living with cancer, became the festival’s first official charity partner raising �5,000 and this year the charity hopes to double that figure.
