PUPILS at a Clevedon school bid farewell to a staff member after she served 22 years at the school.

Pauline Bowler completed her final day at St John’s Primary School on December 17 and was showered with gifts from children and colleagues during a star-themed leaving event before she was given a lift home in a limousine.

The 63-year-old worked as the finance and admin manager at the Fosseway school and has also helped with the school’s friends association.

She has been described by colleagues as a mainstay of the building and good natured.

They also said she will be sorely missed by children, parents and staff.
