The driver and passenger of a van which killed a 90-year-old woman after crashing through a wall of her Clevedon home have been released under investigation.

A 34-year-old woman and 33-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a Ford Transit van collided with a house in Yeolands Drive at around 8.30pm on Wednesday.

The woman, who was in her living room at the time of the crash, has not yet been formally identified and a post-mortem examination will take place next week.
