AN OPEN gardens event in Portbury raised funds for the village church.
The owners of eight properties threw open their gates to allow members of the public to view their gardens while enjoying refreshments and a barbecue.
Proceeds from the weekend will go toward the running and maintenance of St Mary’s Church.
