AN OPEN gardens event on Saturday and Sunday will see eight plots in Portbury opened up to the public.
The trail will start at Birch Cottage, opposite Oakham Treasures, in Portbury Lane and the rest are within walking distance. There will also be a barbecue on The Hops, off Caswell Lane, from noon to 2pm.
Programmes, priced �3 per person, are available from 4 Caswell Lane and Birch Cottage, where refreshments will be served. Proceeds will go to St Mary’s Church. For more details call 01275 374201.
