One of the most famous musical productions of all time will be staged in Tickenham later this month.

The drama group will perform Lionel Bart’s Oliver! at the village hall, in Clevedon Road, from April 24-28 at 7.30pm, with an additional matinee performance on April 28 at 2.30pm.

The musical is based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, and tells the story of a boy born in a workhouse and sold into apprenticeship with an undertaker.

The group’s last production, Into The Woods, was named best production at the Somerset Fellowship of Drama Awards last month.
