Towns and villages across North Somerset fell silent to remember the sacrifice men and women have made fighting for their country.
Remembrance Sunday events were held in Clevedon, Long Ashton, Nailsea, Portishead and Yatton and they were even more poignant this year, coming 100 years after the end of World War One.
Portishead High Street was shut off for the morning as a procession of scouts, cubs, brownies and other organisations paraded.
Church services were also held to mark the occasion.
A similar parade in Yatton was held, with people making their way from St Mary’s Church to the war memorial ahead of the two-minute silence.
One of the largest events however was in Clevedon as people marched from the Salthouse Fields to St Andrew’s Church.
A parade was held in Wrington too, while the Royal Marine Honour Guard will take part in a service in Long Ashton later on this evening.
