The Times has donated £390 to a charity after its staff took part in a sponsored 10-mile walk.

A team of journalists, the Times’ photographer, and family and friends, took part in Weston Hospicecare’s Mendip Challenge in June.

The 15-strong team raised £390 through the walk and Archant, which owns the Times, has agreed to match-fund the total.

Team leader Vicky Angear said: “We are so grateful to Archant for helping us to donate even more money to Weston Hospicecare.

“The charity does a fantastic job caring for people with life-limiting conditions and supporting their families.”
