Temperatures in North Somerset may plummet overnight, leading to icy roads and paths, the Met Office has warned.

A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for the district for the early hours of Friday morning.

The Met Office predicts temperatures will fall after a spell of rain, and ice will form on untreated pavements, cycle paths and roads.

Some railways could also be affected, and journeys may take longer as a result.

The Met Office warning is in place from 4-10am.
