Plans to build a new village hall in Congresbury have been given a boost by one of the area’s estate agents.

The Congresbury New Village Hall Development Trust is raising money to build a hall in the King George V Playing Fields, off Stonewell Drive.

Debbie Fortune Estate Agents, which has a branch in Wrington, announced it will donate 10 per cent of fees it receives from the sale or rental of Congresbury homes this year to the organisation.

The trust’s fundraising lead Ron Hall said: “This super new amenity will be for the benefit of all our villagers.

“We are very grateful to Debbie and her team for their help.”
