School and road schemes in North Somerset will be overseen by a new head of major projects.

North Somerset Council is hiring someone to oversee school, highways and property projects in the district.

They will receive a £66,000 salary and will be in charge of a new infrastructure delivery team to ensure schemes are delivered on time and within budget.

The council’s advert says: “The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in managing teams and sub-contractors to deliver high standards as well as being an accomplished team player who will be an advocate for change and innovation, put customers first, work well with others and get things done.

“You will have strong financial acumen and a proven track record of successful delivery.”

The deadline for applications is 10am on February 2.
