A quartet of North Somerset choirs raised hundreds of pounds for charity after performing a heart-warming concert.

Amplify Show Choir, Mini Amps, Vibe Pop-Rock Choir and Generation Vibe took to the stage on Mother’s Day to deliver ‘an incredible sound’ at a sold-out show.

Children and adults showcased their vocal talent at Bristol’s St Georges to raise valuable funds for a good cause – and to pay tribute to their mums.

The choirs, from Backwell and Portishead, performed individual sets before pooling their talents for a stunning finale.

Catherine Smith, director of Generation Vibe, feels the concert was a big success.

She said: “It was a very special moment having so many singers of all ages on the stage together making an incredible sound.”

The concert raised £546 for One25, a Bristol-based charity which helps vulnerable women escape from a life of working on the streets.
