A new route will allow South West passengers to jet off to a popular Spanish city with Ryanair next month.

People will be able to fly from Bristol Airport to Valencia in March as part of its summer 2018 schedule.

It comes after an extra weekend flight to Malaga was announced for May, with additional summer routes to Ibiza, Palma and Florence also planned, alongside longer haul trips.

Lauren Hennessy, marketing and sales executive for Ryanair, said: “We are pleased to launch our new Bristol to Valencia route with an initial twice-weekly service.

“Valencia is the perfect destination for those who love the buzz of a city and the relaxation of a beach because it can offer both.”

Last year was the airport’s most successful on record, with more than 8.1 million passengers using the site.

Redevelopment plans to increase capacity further are being worked on by the airport.
