A new president has taken the reins at Clevedon Yeo Rotary Club.

Tony Carrington will head the charity after taking over from Yvonne Kingston who has held the role for the past year.

Yvonne was awarded with champagne and a pair of engraved flutes for the work she has done for the club.

Tony said: “We will continue to do all we can to improve our local area by our effort and commitment.

“We are just ordinary people trying to do extraordinary things.

“Thanks to all the local residents who support us and we would encourage them to keep watching our Facebook and Twitter pages and visiting our website throughout the year for details of our activities.”

Upcoming rotary club events include a summer barbecue and a charity car treasure hunt.
