COOKS from Nailsea celebrated the completion of their new kitchen by baking a cake.
Crumbles cooks now have a new industrial-sized cooker, dishwasher, water boiler and other specialist items which were paid for by generous local people who donated 5,500 to the Big Give Appeal.
The cooking group, which is supported by The Brandon Trust, meets at Nailsea Scotch Horn Centre and the equipment was installed by Phil Brumfitt, of AdvoCater in Portishead.
Members of the Crumbles team are now planning to produce cakes for sale to Nailsea residents, local cafs and other events.
Lucy Hurst-Brown from the Brandon Trust said: “We are indebted to everyone whose support helped to make the much-needed kitchen upgrade possible.”
