THE kitchen at Portishead Scout Hut has received a facelift thanks to the town’s Lions club
Portishead Lions came to the aid of the youngsters after a plea for help and not only funded the new equipment, but also helped decorate the kitchen and instal the units.
The new kitchen was opened during an official ceremony at the Station Road premises earlier this month, when North Somerset Council chairman Ann Harley cut the ribbon.
The scouts christened their kitchen by getting to work on providing refreshments for those attending the ceremony.
