A RETIRED teacher from Nailsea has won a second term of office as president of the town’s Inner Wheel Club.

Lynn Reeves took over from retiring president Jo Perry of Backwell, who is also a retired teacher, at the group’s recent meeting.

Lynn’s charities for the year are St Peter’s Hospice which cared for member Hanne Shorland until her death earlier this year, and Bristol University laboratory for research into strokes and cancer.

During Jo’s year as president, more than £1,500 was raised, with the group presenting cheques to Penny Brohn Cancer Care, St Peter’s Hospice and Avon Riding for the Disabled.
