A NEW rector has been welcomed at a Nailsea church following a two-year wait.
Rev Tony Roak was licensed by the Bishop of Bath and Wells during a service at Christ Church, after arriving from the Hague, in Holland, with his wife Jill.
He will also be in charge of St Quiricus and St Julietta church in Tickenham.
The Times reported in April 2010 Rev Alastair Wheeler said goodbye to his flock after 19 years, to take over as vicar of St Cuthbert’s in Wells, including its twin parish of Wookey Hole.
