New equipment for town schools

CLEVEDON schoolchildren were handed boxes full of new sports equipment by their MP Dr Liam Fox.

The schools have all been taking part in the Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme, which sees vouchers exchanged for useful equipment.

The children from Yeo Moor, St Nicholas Chantry, St John and Mary Elton primary schools went along to the town’s Tesco store to be presented with a sports activity box including items such as bats, balls and skipping ropes.

As part of this year’s Schools and Clubs scheme, shoppers received vouchers over ten weeks to then donate to a school or club which could use them to choose items from an equipment catalogue.
