A NEW curate has joined the Portishead Church of England team.
Jeremy Putnam was ordained as Deacon at Wells Cathedral in July and is now a curate in training with the Anglican team ministry.
He will be learning the ropes during his first year in Portishead, before his ordination as priest next year, when he will be able to officiate at all services, including baptisms and Holy Communion.
Jeremy has moved to Portishead with his wife Ruth and two daughters. He previously had a career in retail, starting out in his home town of Weston.
