VOLUNTEERS who maintain a Clevedon river have received a boat to help with their efforts.
Members of the Land Yeo Friends regularly clear litter from sections of the Land Yeo river to ensure culverts do not get blocked and to keep the river clean.
To help the volunteers get to difficult-to-reach areas, Clevedon Chamber of Trade and Commerce donated 750 toward the cost of an aluminium, flat-bottom boat.
Before now, the friends have borrowed a boat from Clevedon Sailing Club to help clear litter but their new vessel is a lot lighter and can be easily handled by two people.
