NORTH Somerset residents keen to find out more about National Grid’s project to install a new power line through the district are being encouraged to visit recently-created information points.

Following the energy giant’s announcement of where it plans to install the 400,000 volt line, community hubs and additional information points have been set up to give residents the chance to look at maps and project documents as well as fill out feedback forms. They will be available to access until December 18.

Hubs have been created in Nailsea’s Colliers Walk and at Congresbury’s Old School Rooms in Station Road. Both are open from noon to 6pm, Mondays to Fridays, and the Nailsea hub will also be open on Saturdays from 10am-2pm.

Information points can be found at Portishead Library at Horatio House in Harbour Road and Yatton Library in the village High Street and will be accessible whenever the venues are open.
