A charity worker from Nailsea has signed up for a skydive in a ‘moment of madness’ to raise money for Diabetes UK.

Gemma Jackson, from Nailsea, works at the charity's Taunton office and wanted to do something for the cause.

Gemma has signed up for a skydive in Devon on Saturday to raise money for the cause which is close to her heart.

She said: "I signed up in a moment of madness. I'm nervous driving across roundabouts, so you can imagine how petrified I am to be jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet.

"But it will be worth it. I have family and friends who have diabetes and I've seen the impact it has on them.

"I'd love to help Diabetes UK move towards its goal of a world where diabetes is finally doing no harm."
