A TEENAGE girl was punched in the head in an unprovoked attack in Nailsea on Monday morning.
The 17-year-old was walking through a lane between Coats Grove and Nailsea Park at 9.30am, when she was assaulted.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged 18 or 19, 5ft 9ins tall and thin.
He was wearing a black hooded top and dark tracksuit trousers and had a distinctive scar on his face in front of his left ear.
The victim’s lip was cut in the attack.
An investigation has been launched and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
