Carnival floats will parade through Nailsea town centre on Saturday afternoon as the town celebrates the popular spectacle.
The colourful procession starts at Clevedon Road car park at 1pm and will weave its way through the town to cheers of delight from supporters, before finishing at Millennium Park, off Brockway.
A number of schools, nurseries, community groups and businesses regularly take part in the event, donning weird and wonderful costumes.
The carnival festivities will continue with a fair at the Millennium Park from 1-5pm, where families can enjoy music and dance, children's rides, stalls and a car boot sale.
Refreshments will be served in the tea tent and there will also be burgers and hot dogs from the barbecue on sale.
The Nailsea carnival and fair is organised by the Friends of 1st Nailsea Scout Group on behalf of Nailsea Town Council, and is the group's main fundraising event of the year.
