NAILSEA Town Council has added 33,958 to its precept for 2012-2013 financial year for special expenses.
The charge has been transferred by North Somerset Council for the maintenance of open spaces and play areas.
Nailsea town clerk Ian Morrell said this does not mean a council tax rise to residents as the charge would normally be made by the local authority.
