Nailsea Music and Art Festival

ART fans flocked to Nailsea’s Tithe Barn at the weekend to take part in the town’s art and music festival.

Scores of artists had set up stands in the historic building selling their cards, jewellery, paintings, sculptures, bags, toys and many more items. Crafts men and women also offered live demonstrations of their work.

The festival was held at the Tithe Barn, Holy Trinity Church and the Ring of Bells pub and also boasted a wide range of musical and dance performances.

Big bands, classical orchestras, choirs, folk groups, a Led Zeppelin tribute band and morris and clog dancers were just some of the top quality acts which wowed spectators.

Literary fans also enjoyed a night of stories, poems and drama and visitors were given the chance to try out their moves at a barn dance in the Tithe Barn.

The festival is run by Nailsea Folk Club, Holy Trinity Church and The Ring of Bells and sponsored by Nailsea Town Council.
