Nurses from Nailsea District Leg Club have been praised for their ‘expertise and empathy’ after winning an award.
The leg club team was presented with an accolade at the Care and Support West care awards.
The nurses offer treatment for a variety of leg conditions in a group setting - which is helping to improve visitors' health and also tackling social isolation.
Carole Brooke, chairman of the leg club committee, said: "The community is so very proud of the leg club nursing team for winning this award.
"The expertise and empathy they show each person attending on a Wednesday has been recognised and we are all very passionate about the Lindsay Leg Club model."
Nailsea an District Leg Club is a charity and relies on volunteers and donations to keep it running.
It takes place in the tithe barn, in Church Lane, every Wednesday from 9-11.30am.
