Firefighters tackled a car blaze in Nailsea last night (Sunday).

Amid a ‘busy night’ across the region, an Avon Fire and Rescue Service crew extinguished a fire in a Land Rover Sport – which was intentionally set alight – at 22.19pm.

A fire service spokesman said: “Two high-pressure hose reels and one breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire – the cause of which is believed to be deliberate.”
