Nailsea in Bloom is hoping to place a large poppy in one of the four beds which the gardeners look after.

The tributes will raise money for the Royal British Legion which provides financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.

People who sponsor a poppy can have up to four names written on them to remember those who died during in wars.

The minimum donation per poppy is £5 and forms are available from the tithe barn, in Church Lane, or 65 High Street.

The poppies will be placed in the beds from October 25 until after Remembrance Day.

Sponsorship must be in by October 11 and forms can be left in boxes at the tithe barn.
