Beautiful, in High Street, is the town’s only upmarket homeware retail shop.

The store will close for a final time on December 22 after owner Sandi MacDonald took the decision to semi-retire.

She told the Times: “Ultimately this is my decision, I am hoping to move into a dog walking business.

“I put my heart and soul into it and have given my life to this store, people have told me Nailsea is going to lose something special.

“Quirky shops are dying out because internet shopping has changed everything.

“The High Street is getting quieter, which is a shame for the town.”

Closing down sales will run until December 23.
