A community transport charity is looking for more volunteers to help people with mobility issues.

Nailsea and District Community Transport needs more drivers, passenger helpers and a new treasurer.

The charity, which is based in Southfield Road, is a lifeline for many people who cannot drive, as its buses provide a door-to-door service to health appointments, shopping trips and social outings.

Anne Morley, from the charity, said: "We are looking for volunteer drivers, passenger helpers and also a new volunteer treasurer.

"Our current treasurer is retiring and we hope to recruit someone with a financial background to help us.

"With the summer time coming soon we would like to recruit some additional volunteers to drive older people and those with mobility difficulties, out on trips as well as to the local shops."
