Nailsea and Clevedon crews fight early-morning car fire

Fire crews have tackled a car fire in Clevedon during the early hours of this morning (Friday).

Crews from both Clevedon and Nailsea fire stations attended the incident in Teignmouth Road at about 2.33am when one car was ablaze.

A high pressure hose reel, foam and dry powder extinguishers were used to put out the fire.

Significant damage was caused to one car while two other vehicles were also affected. The blaze also caused damage to the guttering on a nearby property.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
