NORTH Somerset’s MP came to the aid of a pregnant woman while on a flight travelling from Turkey to London.
Defence secretary Dr Liam Fox was on the flight on Monday when the captain asked over the plane’s speakers whether there was a doctor on board.
A pregnant woman was in discomfort and wanted some medical assistance.
Former GP, Dr Fox, volunteered his help and stayed with the woman until the plane landed and she was passed into the hands of awaiting paramedics.
According to media reports, it is not clear whether the woman realised she was being cared for by a Government Secretary of State.
